Haha, I love how I make a post complaining about having writer’s block, and then promptly write two new chapters.  I think it was because I spent a good few hours chatting to Sarge on msn, and that girl is like a MACHINE when it comes to writing.  Seriously she has churned out so many commissions over the past fortnight that it puts me to shame.  So even though I declared a hiatus on y!gallery, I ended up updated Rae’s bday fic and the new NarutoxSasuke multichapter that I’m slowly working on.  There are links in my twitter feed I think.

Speaking of the new multichapter, “Separated by Common Language”, I thought I might as well clarify that it is based on my year abroad in Germany last year.  Almost everything I describe in the fic is as it was for me IRL, apart from the fact that it’s based in Alaska (because I didn’t really want to write German!Naruto |D) and the whole romance bit… nothing happened to me in the romance department /sob.  Especially not with my superior Marco, whose role Naruto is assuming in the fic.  Marco is married with twins LOL.

But yeah, it’s quite nice writing that fic because it’s something I can really get into - I know what I’m talking about.  Plus multilingual!Sasuke is just UNFFFF -flails-

HOME TOMORROW 8D

Ugh, I’ve had this writer’s block ever since I joined y!gallery.  I think it’s to do with being surrounded by so many awesome writers, and being more in the limelight than I was on FF.  When you’re less popular, there’s less pressure to write something good… But the pressure is actually making me write worse than I used to.  Gah.  Hopefully this holiday at home will help me out.

There’s something refreshing about starting afresh, even if it’s just setting up a new tumblr account.  It’s like a clean page.

I must confess, I am terrible at staying up to date with such websites as this.  Hopefully, I can turn that around with this one, because tumblr has a lot to offer.

Life: My mother gave me an early Christmas present yesterday - a transfer to an earlier flight home.  So instead of having to wait until Christmas Eve to see my family again, I’m flying home on the nineteenth.  I haven’t seen my family since September, and whilst we’ve chatted over Skype, it’s not the same as being able to hug them, do the mundane things like eating and watching telly with them.  So to be granted an extra five days with them feels fantastic.

Thoughts: I’ve been alone a lot this semester.  This needs to change next year.

Cosplay: I’ve found the perfect wig for my Kiba cosplays, and it’s cheap as well.  Now I just need to talk to my parents about the extent to which this “dressing up” is going to go.  I also need to look at contact lenses and binding vests.  I’ve been talking to Sas about the latter and he’s directed me to some good websites.  It’s just coming up with the money.

Plans: I paid my Kitacon fee last week, so that’s definitely happening.  Now I need to tackle the subject of AWA with my parents.  Watch this space!

Other: I think I’m addicted to online gambling.  This has to stop before I end up penniless (although granted I’ve made a marginal profit… but my luck won’t last forever).
